Tramway:
this surface mode of transportation is fading with the past. At the present moment tram roads have been displaced from the Center and there are only 4.5 km of tram roads within the boundaries of the Garden Ring Road.
The first trams had literal markings. The fabulous tram service “А” or “Annushka” as it was lovingly named by Muscovites appeared in 1911. It is the most well-known tram in Moscow that goes along Boulevard Ring. Tram service “B” went along the Garden Ring Road and it was called “Bukashka”; now this name is used by trolleybus service “B” that had replaced it. There was another tram service “В” in Taganka district called “Verochka”. Fares are the same as buses and the Metro. More info on tramway routes can be found at:
